Brazilian star Endrick has revealed his conversation with veteran midfielder Luka Modric concerning his reported move to Real Madrid.
Endrick is said to have made up his mind to join the Spanish LaLiga champions next summer.
According to him, Modric, who wears the number 10 shirt at the Santiago Bernabeu, has handed it over to him (Endrick).
He said the Croatian legend has suggested to him that he could be wearing the number 9 or 10 jersey at the club.
Modric told me: “Number 9 and Number 10! Who knows, next season, maybe you’ll sit next to me,” he revealed to Players Tribune.
“That really [is] attached to my heart. Incredible. I thought: Man, if Modric believes I am worthy to wear the Number 9, then I must be worthy!”
